Suit fitting
I got fit for a suit today. A new experience. And I got to do it twice. Lucky me. Well, sort of lucky. I got felt up by multiple pretty young ladies in the process. Really though, they were super cool and it was a fun experience. They helped me with some Chinese and I helped them with some English.

One of the gals was in training and they asked if she could practice on me. I wasn't in a hurry, why not? So I got to go through the process twice.
I was late for my time slot so I got to sit and wait a bit. It was an exhausting day. Lots of me in front of kids presenting new material and giving detailed explanations. There are sage on the stage days. There are guide on the side days. Today was all sage.

Choices choices choices. To get fit I had to make A LOT of choices. First the material. I went with their top of the line cashmere wool in a dark gray. Nothing special on the liner. Single brested with a light blue shirt. Lapel? Real or fake buttons at the cuff? Button type? How to split in the back? Pocket style? More... Finally finished choices and then got measured. As each girl measured something she said the number in Chinese. Practicing my understanding I repeated each number I heard out loud. I was corrected a few times. When they wanted me to move or turn it ended up with me helping them with their English.
Process over I took some pictures and made my goodbyes. Got home. Crashed on the couch. Then it hit me. I forgot to ask about the vest. Great googily moogily. After a few WeChat messages I was instructed to return for more measurements. Only a five minute walk, but I was feeling pretty tired. Anywho, I made the trip and offered many thank yous again.
Total cost for this service was about $600 for a three piece suit and a shirt. My cost was a bit higher than most due to my choice of material. Was very cool of the Jakester to set this all up and have them come to us. I should have my new threads in about three weeks or less. Only thing I'll need to complete my outfit will be a red power tie. Lots of teachers taking advantage of the opportunity. I'm thinking we'll all have a suit day and pose for a group photo. Watch for a picture in about a month.
