Typhoon? Ummm, okay.

Typhoon Hinnamnor swung on by to say hi. It’s a thing to worry about here. Looks like this one had potential to hit us,

But veered away. We got some heavier rain and wind. Not too bad.

The weather for this coming week is looking solid after we get some more remnants of Hinnamnor. A nighttime walk next to the river this past weekend was quite pleasant. Just a perfect night out for a stroll.

The new school and our apartments aren’t stickbuilt like most homes in the states. They’re all poured concrete. It’s similar to what I’ve seen in the Caribbean area. If your going to expect water to rush in at some point it makes no sense to build with wood.

Be safe! And I have never understood why folks along our hurricane prone areas build wooden structures (well, the vast majority do). Concrete & stone kinda work well for longevity (pyramids, some wall that you may walk on in the not to distant future, The Coliseum, Stonehenge, Kukulan, Angkor Wat) then the vast majority of Americans just say "This is my home and I'll rebuild and rebuild and rebuild" What is the definition of insanity? I digress :| At least one of the three little pigs got it right :)
